A4Showcard Poster yellow Covid19 1From social distancing posters and stickers to cards for pews or chairs, the URC has produced free printable resources on Coronavirus for churches. You can download and print off them here for when your church buildings reopen. For more guidance about this, please visit www.urc.org.uk/coronavirus

Your local printer will be able to print larger versions if you’re unable to. There are also items to remind people to keep socially distanced and to wash their hands, and these can be found on the URC Bookshop, www.urcshop.co.uk/coronavirus

The United Reformed Church has been amazed by the way in which ministry within our churches has continued in exciting and creative ways during the Covid-19 crisis. Often this pushed Ministers, CRCWs, Elders, local leaders, members and others well outside of their comfort zones.

We want to share your Coronavirus stories to support and encourage our members and others that, while our church buildings may still be closed, to show how congregations and communities are showing that God’s church is very much open.

We are looking for short videos or articles with photos (where possible) of what you have done to keep the message alive. We are hoping your stories may inspire others as we journey together.

New reality cover RGBIn 2020, members of the URC’s Church-Related Community Work, Church and Society, Children’s and Youth Work and Walking the Way teams, along with Church Action on Poverty, started a conversation called 'New Reality, Same Mission' about helping congregations think about mission and community engagement in these challenging times.

As a follow-up to that conversation, here are a few ideas, resources and questions on offer for you and your local church to consider today.

MC logo template vector RGBThe officers of the General Assembly intend to convene the Mission Council, the executive body of the URC, for a few hours’ business on Friday 10 July. This meeting was open to Synod representatives and their Moderators to attend as normal.

Saturday 11 July was primarily an act of worship to induct the new Moderators of the General Assembly, the Revd Clare Downing and Mr Peter Pay, and the new General Secretary, the Revd Dr John Bradbury, into office, and was live streamed.

We make these papers available to the wider URC membership asking that people be aware that they are discussion documents and that many changes may be made as a result of Mission Council decisions.
