The Children's and Youth Work theme for 2021 is Heroes and Villains.

The majority of our resources to support the theme is in our resource booklet, but here you can find supplementary resources. If you have resources you have created that would support this theme, please do email them to use so that we may add them here.

 Additional drama sketch - Revd. Roger Jones has contibuted an additional drama sketch entitled "My Hero". You can download the script here (PDF).

Heroes Creative Prayer - A creative prayer involving chocolate? Perfect. Thank you to Rachel Boxer for giving us permission to use this in our Heroes and Villains resource. Find the template for dice and a guide to the prayer ideas here (PDF). 

The Pilots 30-day Walking the Way Challenge is part of the Pilots Worship Materials in the centre pages of the booklet. It is suitable for anyone to use whether they are involved in Pilots or not. Find it here (PDF). 

One of the suggestions in the Toddler Praise section is to retell the story of Moses using road signs. This is an activity which may be suitable for a range of ages and could be developed in many different ways. Here is the document as PDF. 

 Outdoor Worship Trail Signs were contributed for the outdoor worship / Forest Church section of the resource by Jo Hopkins and Nathan Webb. You can download the PDF of the trail signs here.

This superhero trail is suitable for children/young people with additional needs but could easily be modified for other groups. Each page should be folded in half and laminated, then fastened or hung up along the trail with the superhero image visible. Some of the stations along the trail will need resources positioned there.

The Community Project Awards is an initiative run by the United Reformed Church (URC) in collaboration with Congregational, one of the UK's leading church insurance providers. The awards recognise innovative community projects that have a positive affect on local communities and the winning project can receive up to £2,000.  

Church House is close to Kings Cross, St Pancras and Euston stations and has a number of competitively priced meeting rooms available for hire.
