Worship Reference Group invitation

Dear leaders of worship,

The Worship Reference Group (WRG) would like to learn from you about your experience of worship since much of it moved to the digital world. The WRG was formed by Mission Council and exists to curate and celebrate good practice and to unearth good and helpful resources to share more widely.

If you have time, we’d be delighted if you to tell us, in a short personal video or email, about your experience of your digital worship, especially if you have been crafting it.

Particularly, we have two questions:

  • If you would have been told one thing before you started, what would it have been?

  • What are the challenges you are facing now?

We’ll collate all your answers to seek direction about more materials and resources to share. We’ll read carefully for your challenges so we might be able to dig out things from all over the world to support you.

Your comments will all be anonymised so that you can feel able to say what you want to say. If you’ve sent in a video we find particularly speaks to these times, we’ll ask your permission if we’d like to show it in any reports.

In the meantime, we’ve been working with URC Communications to update worship material on the URC website. Please check this every month or so to find new material.

Please send any emails or video links to worship.reference@urc.org.uk.

Many thanks indeed!

Worship Reference Group (Samuel Silungwe, Matthew Prevett, Ana Gobledale, Elizabeth Gray-King – in dialogue with John Bradbury, acting DGS Discipleship, and Andy Jackson, Head of Communications)
