Pastoral care is one of the core responsibilities in ministry. It is a vital aspect of church life, developing relationships, building community and opening up opportunities for the application of the good news of God’s grace. As a minister, I find pastoral care one of the most challenging aspects of the role, but also one of the most rewarding.

The United Reformed Church (URC) Greenbelt team welcomed thousands of visitors to its tent, decorated by hundreds of colourful postcards, were created by URCs from across the UK which shared the wit and wisdom of URC members..

resized image Promo 15Daily Devotions, the United Reformed Church’s (URC) series of digital daily Bible readings, reflections and prayers, reaches its 1000th edition on 23 August.

The devotions are written by more than 100 people from across the denomination.

More than 3,000 subscribers receive the inspirational readings in their inboxes at 6am each day, and hundreds more follow online.

The open letter – signed by Derek Estill, Moderator of the United Reformed Church General Assembly – warns that the health of millions of children will be put at risk if the food supply to schools is not protected.
