Trialogue – online YouTube broadcasts for 16 to 25 year olds
URC Youth invite you to join their regular online live YouTube broadcast called ‘Trialogue’ which will also be broadcast simultaneously on the URC Youth Trialogue Facebook page and the URC Children's and Youth Work Facebook page.
Aimed at 16 to 25 year olds, each session explores a theme alongside a Bible passage, providing a springboard for further discussion and reflection. A member of the CYDO+ team hosts a conversation with three guest panellists, representing some of the breadth of the URC and beyond.
TRIalogue takes place every other Thursday at 7pm - see the URC Youth Trialogue Facebook page for what is coming next.

Lundie Memorial Award - nominate a child or young person
Do you know a child or young person who is playing their part in the Mission of God?
We at Children’s and Youth Work are delighted to announce the launch of the Lundie Memorial Award.
A trust fund, established in 1895 in memory of the Revd Robert Henry Lundie, has recently been re-purposed to enable us to spotlight some of the amazing work done by children and young people across the synods.
This award is designed to spotlight and celebrate individuals using their God-given skills, time and talents to good effect within their church, their community, their synod or even nationally.
Each month for 100 months we will make an award to one such person—they will be presented with a certificate, a very special medal, and £100 to be spent on something of their choice that benefits children and young people in their church or synod. Nomination forms should be filled in and sent to your Children’s and Youth Development Officer (CYDO) or equivalent for your synod.
Suggested nominations: a young carer, young person running a holiday club, child volunteering at a dementia café, young person fund raising for a messy church outing, a young person providing live music for services, a child raising money for an overseas development project, a young person training older people in the use of technology, etc.
The awards will be made by region: Yorkshire, East Midlands, Eastern in January; Scotland, Northern and North Western in February; Wessex, Thames North and Southern in March; and Mersey, West Midlands, Wales and South Western in April in the first instance. Nominations will need to be submitted by the 8th of the preceding month (the end of November for January)
So start nominating those amazing children and young people and let’s celebrate the things they are doing to put their faith into action.

CALLING ALL WRITERS AND BUDDING JOURNALISTS
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for to enable young people and young adults (and even the more confident writers from URC Children) to make a visible contribution to the church and make their voices heard. Reform magazine have invited us to form a panel of writers to produce a new youth column for their monthly magazine. Here is the remit from Editor Steve Tomkins. You can contact him or the Programme Officer Lorraine Webb if you would like to learn more.
Reform, the United Reformed Church’s national magazine, is planning a new column, written by younger members of the Church. The provisional title is ‘Here & now’. We would love to hear from people who are interested in writing for it.
Themes
The scope of the column is broad: we want to hear what you have to say. We want to hear the stories you have to tell and the points you have to make. What is it like being a Christian in today’s world? How are you living out your faith? What do you have to say to the Church? How do you want to change the world? How do you want to change the Church?
Age
Contributors will be about the age of URC Youth, or possibly URC Children – but there is no strict cut-off point at either end.
Regularity
The column will appear in every issue of Reform, so there will be ten instalments a year. The same contributor might write for it repeatedly, but there will not be a strict rota, and we hope to hear from a good number of different voices.
Length
Provisionally, the length of the column is between 650 and 750 words.
Submission
Submission dates will be arranged with contributors. Text should submitted by email to Lorraine Webb at lorraine.webb@urc.org.uk
