Human Resources

What does the Human Resources Office does

The Human Resources office at Tavistock Place is concerned with providing a comprehensive and professional human resources service in the following areas:

  • staff resourcing (recruitment and retention);
  • staff development (learning, training and development);
  • staff reward (pay and benefits); and
  • staff relations (terms and conditions of employment).

We also offer advice and support in the above areas to the URC Training centres, synod offices and local churches around the UK.

How many staff does the HR Office cover?

The HR Office currently looks after 49 lay staff (including 2 home workers) at Church House. We offer advice and support to Synod offices around the UK who also employ lay staff.
