ask advert1The Nominations Committee searches for people to serve as members, secretaries and convenors of all committees of the General Assembly, the highest decision-making council of the Church.

It also suggests names of representatives on other bodies, and recommends people to make up appointment and review groups for synod moderators and Assembly-appointed staff.

Each synod (region) is represented on the committee, some by their synod clerk or moderator, or by individuals with a good knowledge of the people and their skills in their region. One of the former Moderators of the General Assembly and the General Secretary of the URC are also members.
