What we do
- Offer support and advice to synods and local churches on engagement in mission and evangelism
- Facilitate the giving of vision2020 grants for local mission work
- Produce written resources on mission and evangelism (in print and online)
- Promote tools and resources for local mission from ecumenical agencies, e.g. HOPE
- Support the networks of synod mission enablers and pioneer ministers
- Organise occasional workshops and conferences to support local mission
- Speak at conferences and lead workshops

Fresh Expressions

What we do
“Fresh Expressions are new forms of church that emerge within contemporary culture and engage primarily with those who don’t ‘go to church”
- First point of contact in the URC, for anyone who is interested in learning more about new ways of being church, or considering setting up a new type of church
- Developing networks of interested parties – including synod-wide learning communities, and lay or ordained networks of pioneers
- Fresh Expressions training – advice and help with presenting vision events, mission shaped intro and mission shaped ministry
- Represent the URC in the wider ecumenical Fresh Expressions team

Rural Mission
Service times: 09.00 – 16.30 Monday to Friday (Germinate: Arthur Rank Centre)
What we do
- Support rural churches in their ministry and mission
- Visit synods and local churches to provide help and advice regarding rural mission
- Produce resources, with colleagues at the Germinate: Arthur Rank Centre (details on Rural Mission page)
