Thinking about what to do over the August Bank Holiday weekend? Now is the perfect time to get your plans sorted.

The Greenbelt Festival is scheduled to take place at Boughton House, Northamptonshire, from 28 to 31 August 2020 – and the United Reformed Church (URC) will be there once again as one of its partners.

This year, the URC theme is ‘Revolting Christians’ and the team is inviting people to share their stories of Christians – either individuals or groups – who have inspired them by standing up for their faith and beliefs, or by challenging authority or popular opinion.

Please send the team a copyright free photo or drawing of your Revolting Christian along with some information about why they inspire you and entries will be displayed on ‘wanted’ posters in the URC’s tent at the festival.

In addition, if you are feeling crafty, the team would also like you to send in symbols that are used by Christians made from recycled materials.

These symbols can be created from any medium such as fabric, paper, wood, and need to be no more than the size of a credit card. These symbols will also be displayed over the weekend and then give them away to Greenbelters at the end of the festival. The team is trying to cut down on waste and the environmental impact of its projects so please reuse and recycle materials.
