The United Reformed Church (URC) Mission Council is meeting at The Hayes Conference Centre, in Swanwick, Derbyshire from 15-17 November.
Mission Council is the executive body of the General Assembly and meets twice a year to reflect on and make decisions about the day-to-day life of the Church.
Items on the agenda for this meeting include: how best to provide professional and pastoral supervision to URC ministers; plans for supporting the Church’s pension funds, and how the URC will progress its involvement in the Council for World Mission’s “Legacies of Slavery” project.
All Mission Council papers are available online.
The URC communications team will be reporting on Mission Council. The URC’s news pages, Facebook page and Twitter account will include updates on the main decisions made throughout the meeting with a daily report being posted after the close of business each day.
A full report is also planned for inclusion in the February 2020 issue of 'Digest' in Reform magazine.
