The Revd Jacky Embrey, Moderator of the United Reformed Church Mersey Synod, will help lead Liverpool’s tributes to the country’s war heroes on Remembrance Sunday.
Jacky will be leading the “thought for the day” at the Liverpool Remembrance Parade at the Cenotaph outside St. George’s Hall on Sunday (10 November).
Thousands of people are expected at the event.
“It will be the most people I will have spoken to at any one time,” said Jacky, who also serves as President of the Liverpool and District Free Church Federal Council.
“It is an important occasion and the sun is due to shine so that will be good as well.”
The event will be attended by serving members of the armed forces, families of the fallen from recent conflicts, civic dignitaries at The Cenotaph on St George’s Plateau, veterans and representatives from the Merseyside Royal British Legion.
