John Bradbury GS 2The Revd Dr John Bradbury, Minister of Downing Place United Reformed Church (URC), Whittlesford, Stetchworth and Cheveley URCs in Cambridgeshire, has been nominated as the next General Secretary of the URC.

The Nominating Group, which is responsible for putting forward a name to the URC Mission Council, the church’s executive body, has undertaken a rigorous selection process.

This started after the Revd John Proctor, the current General Secretary, announced his retirement.

Peacemakers newsbannerUnited Reformed Church (URC) ministers, the Revds Mark Meatcher and Melanie Smith, joined hundreds of protestors at the #NoFaithinWar anti arms fair demonstration on 3 September.

Mark and Melanie, who are Ministers of the Enfield groups of the URC, demonstrated against the opening of the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition which takes place at the Excel Centre, London, between 10-13 September.
