What we do
Commitment for Life is the world development programme of the United Reformed Church working in partnership with Christian Aid and Global Justice Now. Our areas of focus are: Bangladesh, Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador), Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory and Zimbabwe.
- We offer information on the benefits of being a Commitment for Life church and how to become one
- We have a network of advocates and speakers across the nations that are willing to speak about the programme and our partner countries at church services, church meetings or events.
- We provide information on our four partner countries in the form of inspiring stories, worship materials, images and videos
- We offer a yearly worship service outline pack for your Commitment for life Sunday and our annual Prayer Partners (a resource with prayers for each month)
- You can sign up for Moving Stories, a monthly e-letter with stories and articles on Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory
- You can sign up for Stories for Change, a monthly newsletter with stories and articles about Bangladesh, Central America and Zimbabwe
- Commitment for Life churches receive mailings three times a year with updates on their partner area
- We provide articles on Fairtrade, campaigning information on climate and tax justice
